Traverse City
an installment of what happens to my photos when i die?
May 2018
I feel like this was a turning point for my photography. It was my first time using a non-kit lens on my camera alongside an ND filter and polarizer.
I couldn't make a huge investment in gear so I bought a Neewer 35mm/f1.7 manual focus portrait lens for about $70 on Amazon (open box because I'm a cheapskate). Being forced to take my camera off auto modes and think about aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and all that good stuff again was a real turning point for me and my photography.
This was my first big vacation with my now-husband, and we watched the sunset from this same scenic overlook on our 5th wedding anniversary.
