I'm a photographer and drone operator based in my home state of Michigan. My current tools of choice are a Sony a6500 and a DJI Mini Pro 3, although I started my journey with a Sony NEX-F3 I bought with the money I received for my high school graduation.
I love water, sunsets, stars, lighthouses, and all sorts of parks. I was diagnosed with autism at age 27 and for the past few years I've been learning to use my extremely mathematical and uncreative approach to my advantage in my photography. (As well as accepting a lot of weaknesses and limitations). I also lean very heavily on self-deprecating humor as a defense mechanism. I'm probably not even good at that, though.
Something about me is I hate hate hate subscriptions. I want to own my stuff. So no I don't use Lightroom, and fuck Capture One for bricking the free version of their software. These days I mostly find myself using:
Darktable for culling, initial editing and adjustments
Photoshop Elements 13 (Yes, from 2013) for occasional touchups and photoshoppy things. I've been painstakingly transferring a 10+ year old photoshop license between my computers for over a decade because I own it. My parents bought me this as a gift in high school and you can pry it out of my cold, dead hands.
Sequator (a fellow Google Sites user) for star stacking and star trails
Microsoft Clipchamp to make reels which is probably why I get like 100 views and 1 like. Maybe I'll learn a better software in the future.
