Channel Islands Nat'l Park

The Channel Islands sit off the coast of Ventura, and the only way there is a 20 mile ferry ride. I didn't bring my camera since the main event on the island was a kayak tour. 

Our day trip to this national park was ALSO marked by freak weather, dipping down into the 50s with gigantic waves that the guides assured us were not normal. 

Anyway, I got my head smashed into the roof of a sea cave (thank goodness for helmets) and the kayak overturned, and every single person gave up at the halfway point of the tour except one person who was a whitewater rafting guide.
