Blind Lake
an installment of what happens to my photos when i die?
September 2025
Blind Lake is one of my favorite spots of all time. I love going down the channel, under the (brand new!) bridge, and seeing the water turn teal blue as you pass the row of cottages.
When I first got my paddleboard my friend recommended I go to Blind Lake and I've been back too many times to count. There's no public access so it's easiest to start at either Bruin Lake or Halfmoon Lake (or haul your gear several miles to the Blind Lake hike-in rustic campground).
This was my first time bringing my drone paddleboarding with me, so I was still learning how to use it effectively and set up good shots. I didn't bring my camera either since there's nowhere to land.
October 2025
It was 85 degrees (!!!) the first weekend of October so of course I went back to Blind Lake. Armed with more drone practice, I think I got some much more compelling photos and videos and a little less anxiety about crashing into a tree (just a little).
