Congaree NP is a small park outside Columbia, South Carolina. The main attraction is a three mile boardwalk through a forest that's part of a floodplain. So most of my pictures are excessively dramatic photos of boardwalks.
It was a bit swampy but I'm sure the water is higher in the spring. It was in the high 70's at the end of December so I would probably never go any other time of year.
This is the Fork Swamp trail on the eastern edge of the park. The visitor center at the boardwalk was completely full with cars parked on the shoulder almost out to the road, but there wasn't a single other person at this trail.
