This former quarry was recently converted into a State Game Area in 2022. It doesn't even have an Instagram location tag yet.

It's in northwestern Monroe County just outside of Milan, MI. There are miles of walkable quarry roads with plenty of shortcuts down to the water. The largest quarry pond is the bluest--I'm excited to see what it looks like when it's frozen this winter.

Most of the "walls" of the lake are partially mined ground. It leaves an almost desert-like appearance with the ripples and terraced levels.
