This part of the Pinckney Recreation Area was closed for a lot of the summer while the access road was being repaved. I hadn't been here since winter when my friend and I hiked about 5 miles on the Potawatomi Trail and across the frozen lake. 

It was so nice to see the water in the summer--it's so clear and sandy and warm! There's no public boat launch so the lake isn't busy at all.
